Rainer has been a wonderful coach for our daughter Barbara for several years. She has continuously improved her skills while developing a genuine love for the sport, thanks to his professional, supportive approach and strong focus on confidence and a healthy mindset.

I'm currently 15 years old, and I have been training with Rainer since I was eight. I began playing tennis with different coaches, but Rainer encouraged me to see it as more than just a leisure activity. Throughout the years, I noticed weekly progress, not only in my athletic ability but also in my tactical understanding of the game. He taught me that tennis is not only physical, but also mental, and that it can help in many ways beyond sport. Through this, tennis became a meaningful part of my life and a source of mental and athletic growth.

Rainer is a true professional who has guided our son from a beginner to a confident player through individualized coaching tailored to his learning style and delivered with great patience. His teaching and playing style demonstrate both intelligence and a strong respect for the fundamentals as well as the finer nuances of the game.

His expertise covers not only technical skills but also the mental side, including handling pressure and competition, which we consider truly invaluable. Rainer is an outstanding coach for players of all levels, whether you are just starting out or looking to sharpen and elevate your game.

I have been playing tennis for over ten years and have been training with Rainer for a little more than two years. In that time I have learned more than in the eight years before and have never enjoyed tennis as much.

Rainer does far more than what belongs to his profession. With his enthusiasm on court he manages to motivate me again and again and to convey the joy of constantly improving. He knows exactly what he is doing and can pass on his knowledge clearly and understandably.

At the same time he shows a lot of understanding for the fact that school and training sometimes have to be balanced, and supports me in reconciling both well. I am very glad and grateful to have met such a coach.

As the father of a 16-year-old daughter who has been part of the Player Journey program for three years, I had clear expectations from the start.

My hope was that my daughter would learn to cope better in the real world, build resilience, enjoy sport, and find in tennis an important balance to the demanding school routine at the cantonal school.

At the beginning there was some uncertainty — especially around how roles between tennis or life coach and father could be clearly separated. But tennis proves to be a particularly valuable teacher in this regard. On court you have to take responsibility early, cannot look for excuses, and learn to deal with your own emotions such as anger or fear.

In recent years our daughter has developed noticeably more self-confidence and fighting spirit — not only in tennis but also at school and in her private life. Step by step she is beginning to understand that defeats are not only inevitable but also necessary to make mental and physical progress.

Despite competitive pressure, her enthusiasm for the sport has remained. The system — with the coach, his technological tools and the holistic approach — supports not only the development of players but also helps parents accompany their children on this path.

The future will be exciting and intense either way. As Winston Churchill said: "Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm."

We are the parents of a 16-year-old daughter who started playing tennis at the age of 6. At 12 she was accepted into the Player Journey program led by Rainer. Our expectations as parents regarding our daughter's tennis were limited; we always wanted to make sure she enjoyed the game, movement, learning, and could develop in sport alongside school, which is equally important.

We also wanted to give her the opportunity one day to play sport at a (semi-)professional level if she wished that as a young adult.

In the last four years not only our daughter's tennis has fundamentally improved and is now on a completely different level. The Player Journey program has also helped her grow physically, mentally, organizationally and as a young woman. To develop athletically she had to learn to deal constructively with lost matches (which were often very close) and stay humble in victory.

Thanks to Rainer's close and focused support, including in his role as mental coach, we could witness week by week how our daughter quickly integrated the lessons learned from tennis into daily life. In that sense Player Journey was not only a top tennis school but also an important life school.

We are very proud of our daughter and very grateful to Rainer as sports coach. We can recommend the program without reservation. As a small note, the program requires time investment and sporting commitment.

Over the six years Rainer has coached our daughter, she's grown into a skilled and passionate tennis player. Thanks to Rainer's holistic approach, that growth has carried into every aspect of her life: she's become independent, confident and takes real ownership of her development.

What we've valued most is the mentorship. Rainer's been a figure outside the family she genuinely trusts, and who brings out her desire to reach a high standard. His approach to tennis is motivating: he worked with Veronica's innate body mechanics and preferences to develop her own unique game — other coaches wanted to make her play to a template.

We're grateful for Rainer's coaching, mentorship, and positive energy!

I didn't know tennis training could be so much more than just hitting balls

I have been part of Player Journey since 2018; back then I could hit the ball quite well. First I improved my technique strongly. Once technique was solid, we worked hard on tactics and playing ability to internalize them. Mental strength became more robust over the years. I had always brought solid physicality into training, which over time developed into a great strength. What is especially remarkable is the change in mindset, in me and in other athletes. Compared to other training with other coaches, this is very personalized.

I'm a 17-year-old girl and I started playing tennis when I was 12. At the beginning, I didn't enjoy the sport very much, but my coach, Rainer, helped me learn to truly love the game. Over the years, tennis has become an important part of my life and something that constantly challenges me to grow. Through Rainer's support and encouragement, I developed not only as a player but also as a person. He helped me become more disciplined, confident, and resilient, both on and off the court. Competing today in regional tournaments at the R4 level, I've gained a much deeper understanding of the game and what it takes to improve. My goal is to keep developing and hopefully play on a university team one day.
